About Raymond
I am very proud to announce that I will once
again be the liberal candidate in your riding during the next federal election.
Since 2008, I have been very active in St. Boniface and have met with many
people from all walks of life. I have listened to these people tell me about
their challenges and what’s at stake in their daily lives. Clearly, they are
seeking an improved quality of life and increased financial security.
At the Liberal Party of Canada, we are proposing
a concrete course of action and solutions for families, workers, seniors,
various organizations as well as entrepreneurs.
As Member of Parliament for St. Boniface, I was
given the opportunity to exercise a leadership based on outcomes by proposing
concrete actions with measurable results for the advancement of St. Boniface.
This enabled me to win three elections in a span of four years in the riding of
St. Boniface.
My experience as Member of Parliament for St.
Boniface following those three successful election bids gave me extensive
knowledge of the issues that affect our society. A resident of St. Boniface for
the past 33 years, I am deeply rooted in the area, a seasoned entrepreneur as
well as a committed volunteer when it comes to the issues that most deeply
affect our community. That is why I am seen by others as being a builder of this
same community.
Since 2008, St. Boniface has lost some its
footing in the Canadian federation. As a result, people are looking for
leadership as well as a Member of Parliament who has the capacity to
aggressively move ahead with the most important issues of their community. They
also seek a representative who garnered the unwavering support of the leader of
the Liberal Party, as I have succeeded in doing in my close relationship with
Mr. Michael Ignatieff.
The Liberal Party organization in St. Boniface
has long been considered to possess one of the best and most efficiently
organized teams in the country and, in recent years, it has almost doubled the
number of its militants. At this time, my team and I are seeking your support so
that together, we may continue to build a vibrant, safe and prosperous St.
Boniface for the generations that will follow, in a Canada that is respected
across the world.
